Production Roaster

Olfactory Coffee Roasters have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Production Roaster to join the team. We are looking for a passionate and innovative individual who is excited to join an ambitious business in Cornwall.

The Role

Multi-tasking role in a busy speciality roastery including roasting the world's finest coffees, packing, warehouse maintenance and other daily roastery duties. Great opportunity for someone with an interest in speciality coffee to develop their knowledge and skillset, or an experienced coffee professional to continue with their coffee journey.

Job Specifications

- Manage and fulfil the daily roasting schedules

- Work closely with the Master Roaster for developing roast profiles

- Cleaning and maintenance of roastery equipment

- Cleaning and organising of all production work areas and stock inventory

- Accurate, efficient weighing out of green coffee, as per production schedule

- Timely, neat and structured packing of roasted coffee

- Careful and precise application of bag labels and roast dates

- Organise despatch of orders

- Other general roastery and warehouse duties as required

- £ on application and depending on experience

- Structured coffee training and education programme provided (SCA and Salsa Certified)

Personal specification

Essential:

- An interest in the speciality coffee industry

- Patience and meticulous attention to detail

- A desire to learn, develop and expand general and specific coffee knowledge through an extensive training programme

- Competency in use of email, spreadsheets, and other computer functions

- Ability to work efficiently, diligently, and cheerfully as part of a team

- Excellent multi-tasking, prioritisation, organisational skills

- Fastidious punctuality and attention to detail

- Full clean UK driving license

Desirable:

- Previous role in a production/warehouse environment

- Previous experience in the speciality coffee industry
