With the same approach to traceability, ethics and sophistication, Smält is here to prove that hot chocolate should be exciting, and not just a mediocre item on the coffee shop menu.
APPROACH
We hand craft our blends using only single origin cocoa liquor, single origin organic cocoa powder and the finest organic unrefined coconut blossom sugar. By selecting only the purest natural ingredients means that the origin’s flavours are on center stage. It also means that we know exactly where the ingredients are coming from, thus ensuring we understand every step of the journey.
METHOD
We finely grate pure single origin cocoa liquor, combine with single origin organic cocoa powder and blend with organic coconut blossom sugar in our custom designed and made in Cornwall chocolate spinning machine.
HOW TO MAKE
Start with a heaped tablespoon of Smält (around 20 grams) and 250ml milk or water. Warm the liquid just before boiling temperature. Whisk the chocolate with 1/4 of the warm liquid in a jug to form a paste. Then add the rest and whisk to form a smooth and thick hot chocolate.

All our orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48 for £3.50. If you prefer to receive your order next day, you can select the Royal Mail Tracked 24 service at the checkout for £4.50.
Orders over 2kg will be shipped via Parcel Force Tracked Express 24 service.
All orders placed by 12:00pm will be prepared and shipped the same day. Orders received after 12:00pm will be shipped on the following day. Orders received after 12:00pm on Friday will be shipped the following Monday.
If you have any special shipping requirements, please make sure you mention them in the "Add Order Note" section on checkout when placing your order.
We roast and ship our coffees daily, Monday to Friday.
We believe that the fresher the coffee is, the better it tastes. All coffee orders received by 12:00pm will be roasted, bagged in our custom-made recyclable pouches and shipped on the same day. This means that the coffee you receive from us will be as fresh as possible and lastingly delicious.
