Barista

Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, filter variants, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency.
- Ensure that all beverages are prepared according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service, engaging with customers to understand their preferences and make recommendations.
- Operate coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing devices, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation, including regular cleaning and sanitization of equipment, work surfaces, and utensils.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked coffee preparation area, including restocking supplies and managing inventory levels.
- Keep the cafe area clean and organized, including wiping down counters, tables, and equipment.
- Continuously expand your knowledge of coffee origins, flavour profiles, brewing methods, and industry trends to enhance the customer experience and contribute to menu development.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the coffee bar and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures to ensure the well-being of customers and staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista.
- Passion for coffee and a desire to learn and grow within the specialtiy coffee community.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
