In the northern reaches of the country is the region of Nueva Segovia, bordering Honduras with high mountains ideal for coffee production. It is here, in the community of La Laguna in Dipilto where Janaina and Jaime maintain their farm. Their family has been running this farm for over 70 years and it was named after Saint Isabel.

The farm is broken up into lots based on area and altitude. This specific lot is called La Parainema, since that is the varietal grown in this area. Think of brightness in the cup with tangy lemonade and herbal iced tea, sweetened with earthy coconut sugar.

Our exporting partners in Nicaragua, Cafetos de Segovia, work with producers in Nueva Segovia to connect them to roasters throughout the world. Growing coffee in Nicaragua has its challenges, and the Cafetos team work diligently to assist the 60 producers they partner with to improve their coffee quality and income. The organization was started in 2014 by sisters Ana and Martha Albir, who have been involved with growing coffee their whole lives. As third generation coffee producers, they understand the complexities of market access and ensuring producers receive a liveable income. They constructed a wet and dry mill to help producers with processing and sales.

We offer free Royal Mail Tracked 48 shipping for all orders over £25 within the UK.

All our orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48 for £3.50. If you prefer to receive your order next day, you can select the Royal Mail Tracked 24 service at the checkout for £4.50.

Orders over 2kg will be shipped via Parcel Force Tracked Express 24 service.

All orders placed by 12:00pm will be prepared and shipped the same day. Orders received after 12:00pm will be shipped on the following day. Orders received after 12:00pm on Friday will be shipped the following Monday.

If you have any special shipping requirements, please make sure you mention them in the "Add Order Note" section on checkout when placing your order.

Roasting Days

We roast and ship our coffees daily, Monday to Friday.

We believe that the fresher the coffee is, the better it tastes. All coffee orders received by 12:00pm will be roasted, bagged in our custom-made recyclable pouches and shipped on the same day. This means that the coffee you receive from us will be as fresh as possible and lastingly delicious.
